Lakers waiving Vincent Valerio-Bodon received further details
Vincent Valerio-Bodon was previously signed to an Exhibit 10 deal by the LA Lakers. Following the decision to waive him, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that he will remain with South Bay this season.
It is a promising update on his situation with the team as it allows him to further prove his value to the organization.
Former Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma believed that Rob Pelinka gave up too quickly on the 2020 championship roster
Dating back to the 2021 offseason, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were traded to the WashingtonWizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook.
However, Kuzma looked back at that moment and argued that it was a "panic" move on Pelinka's end.
"For sure, 100 percent. I think it's tough because they kind of gave up on me," Kuzma said via All-Star Magazine. "They gave up on that team too a little too early. Rob [Pelinka] panicked a little bit. But you know in the NBA, things happen fast, you never know what's going to happen next. It's always like a revolving door so we had a tough, tough stretch so it happens."
The rosters that came after were different from a depth and fit standpoint. However, Kuzma knew that the NBA landscape instantly changed no matter what the circumstances were before.
During his championship season with the Lakers, Kuzma averaged 22.2 points (46.3% shooting), 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He spent four seasons with the franchise where he first made his mark in the league.
