"Shot it through his hand" - Celtics announcers in awe after Steph Curry's "sick" shot over 7-foot center

Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Steph Curry showed out during Wednesday's 118-112 road victory over the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics. One of the two-time MVP's deep 3-pointers over center Neemias Queta's outstretched arm left Boston's commentators in apparent disbelief.

Curry finished with a team-best 27 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, four steals and four 3-pointers, shooting 47.1%. Among his top plays came late in the second quarter when he drilled a 28-foot triple over Queta, who was hounding him on the perimeter.

The 7-footer appeared to get a piece of Curry's shot, causing him to lose balance and fall to the ground. Nevertheless, the four-time NBA champion hit nothing but the net.

Following Curry's difficult basket, Celtics commentators Brian Scalabrine and Drew Carter attempted to rationalize how he converted it.

"How the heck did he make that?" Scalabrine said.

"That is sick," Carter said.

"What are we watching?" Scalabrine said. "He shot it through his hand. Queta's arm went invisible, and he shot it through his hand. ... In my eyes, he blocked that."

With Wednesday's victory, Curry and Co. improved to 7-1, putting them in a three-way tie for the Western Conference's top record.

Steph Curry expresses optimism about new-look Warriors following statement win over Celtics

Following Golden State's statement win in Boston, Steph Curry weighed in on his new-look squad's hot start.

Few predicted the Warriors would rank among the West's upper-echelon teams after veteran star shooting guard Klay Thompson joined the Dallas Mavericks during the offseason. However, Curry appears confident they can compete with any opponent.

"We're capable of beating anybody. It's hard. You've got to embrace the challenge," Curry said. "But this is a different year, and we're trying to take baby steps and develop an identity."

Curry added that Golden State's improved depth, including early Sixth Man of the Year candidate Buddy Hield, has been beneficial.

"We're very deep, and you don't know whose night it's going to be," Curry said. "I love the vibe that we have, (but) we're eight games in, long way to go."

The Warriors (7-1) continue their road trip on Friday with a showdown against the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers (9-0).
