Alabama coach Nate Oats is under fire over star Brandon Miller's controversial pregame pat-down introduction. A preliminary hearing found that Miller was revealed as the alleged owner of a gun used in a recent murder on campus.
Before Alabama's 86-83 win over Arkansas on Saturday, Miller was involved in an inappropriate gesture during introductions. His coach addressed it after the game, but fans on Twitter didn't want to hear any excuses. Oats was also called out last week for defending Miller following the hearing.
"Before I get started on the game, it was brought to my attention after the game about our pregame introductions," Oats said after the game. "I think that's something that's been going on all year. I don't really know. I don't watch our introductions.
"I'm drawing up plays during that time. Regardless, it's not appropriate; it's been addressed, and I can assure you it will not happen again for the remainder of this year."

Brandon Miller's NBA draft stock not yet affected by controversy
Brandon Miller is one of the top prospects in the very talented 2023 NBA draft class. Miller stands at 6-foot-9 and weighs around 200 pounds. He can play both forward positions and could easily be a top-three pick in the draft without the current controversy.
According to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, Miller's draft stock has not been affected by the recent news about his alleged involvement in a murder on campus. Helin noted that teams are expected to monitor his situation and assess if they're willing to take a punt on the talented forward.
Miller has a beautiful mid-range game and can shoot from beyond the arc. He could become a good two-way player and has been compared with NBA players like Danny Granger and Rudy Gay.
