NBA fans reacted to LeBron James being ranked #7 in the NBA ahead of the 2024-25 season. The LA Lakers superstar is the oldest player in the league and will turn 40 in December. While James is not the same as he was in his 20s and early 30s, this latest ranking is still remarkable and unprecedented.
Despite being ranked in the top 10, not everyone was convinced by the ranking. Some fans argued that James should be ranked higher than a few of the players in the top six.
Many fans commented that the four-time NBA champion should be ranked top 5 on the list.

"I think he should be top 5 easily," a fan said.
"Should be top 5," another fan said.
However, there were also some fans who wrote that #7 is too high for the Lakers star and he should have been ranked lower.
"Way too high," a fan said.
"Too high. He’s around 15," another fan said.
There were also some die-hard LeBron James fan who commented. One of the fans wrote that he should have been ranked at #1.
"I had him 1 but I might be a little biased," a fan said.
For some fans, the ranking of the NAB star was right where it should have been.
"Age is top 1, ranks top 7, maybe they made it right," a fan said.
"It's a good spot," another fan said.
For some fans, rather than worrying about the rank, it was time to appreciate James' greatness at playing high-level basketball.
"We can just appreciate the greatness for his possible last season. He is still playing at a very high level," a fan said.
Nikola Jokic was ranked #1 among all the players. Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were ranked #2, #3 and #4 respectively. Jayson Tatum and Steph Curry were ranked #5 and #6.
How did LeBron James perform last season?
With every season, LeBron James is adding an additional chapter to his legendary career. The NBA superstar has proven, in back-to-back seasons, that he is only one of a kind and perhaps the last one as well.
Although the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, James had an outstanding individual season. In those 71 games, LeBron James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. However, it was not just his scoring that was impressive, he was also one of the most efficient shot makers in the league, shooting 54.0% from the field and career-high 41.0% shooting from the 3-point line.
LeBron is set to make history this season when he steps on the floor alongside his son, Bronny James. However, it remains to be seen how his body will respond at age 40.
