LA Lakers fans aren't happy with getting swept by the Detroit Pistons in their season series despite LeBron James dropping another triple-double on Monday. With the 117-114 defeat, the Lakers saw their three-game winning streak snapped.

James finished the game with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, marking his eighth triple-double of the season. But it wasn't enough as the Pistons held on to beat the Lakers for the second time this campaign. It was Detroit's first season series sweep against the Lakers since the 2016-17 season.

The Lakers were down by 11 points with three minutes left. They tried to rally, but it was too little too late. They had a shot at trimming the lead to a point with 29 seconds left, but Anthony Davis missed a layup. "The King" missed a chance to force overtime as the buzzer sounded.

LA Lakers fans weren't happy with the result, as they could have easily beaten the Detroit Pistons, given that they shot 54.1% from the field and 46.7% from beyond the arc. It was the Lakers' 13th loss of the season, dropping them to seventh in the Western Conference.

Here are some of the best comments:

"Should've played Bronny," a fan wrote.
"JJ looks so miserable. Wishes he was podcasting again," one fan tweeted.
"I don't remember Darvin Ham getting swept by the Pistons," another fan commented.

The LA Lakers had 18 turnovers, which was one of the main reasons why they were behind in the first place. LeBron James only had two turnovers, so he didn't get much blame from fans.

"Is Rob Pelinka going to do anything????," a fan asked.
"Just like Mike Tyson, just know when to give up LeBron. You are aging and can't compete with fresh blood," one fan claimed.
"But I thought Bronny was called up to save the day," another fan remarked.

Speaking to reporters after the LA Lakers' loss to the Detroit Pistons, LeBron James was asked about the Christmas Day game versus the Golden State Warriors.

James is excited to play against Steph Curry because he knows that they have a limited number of matchups remaining.

"Any time you get an opportunity to be on the court and compete versus one of the greatest to ever play this game, you don't take it for granted," James said, according to Sports Illustrated.
"I don't know how many more opportunities (we) will get to go against each other, so it's always fun."

James and Curry have faced each other 52 times, postseason included. The Warriors superstar is ahead 29-23, including 17-11 in the playoffs.
