Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is establishing a reputation for being a vocal player on and off the court. It doesn't matter if he's talking to hype up his teammates or using his words to talk trash to the opponents. Even if that opponent is four-time NBA champion Steph Curry.
During Friday's game between the Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors, Edwards could be seen being his usual vocal self. LegendZ, a page on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube dedicated to leaking audio of players on the court, shared some of the words that Edwards allegedly said.
The clip featured the Wolves star communicating with teammate Jaden McDaniels on defense and then talking trash to Curry after he missed a shot. A timeout was called after the sequence which led to the two crossing paths as they made their way to their benches.
Edwards can be heard celebrating as this happened, and Curry supposedly responded with "right back." Once he got to his bench, he allegedly shouted the following words.

"Shut up n****," Edwards allegedly said.
Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves ended up beating the Golden State Warriors 107-90.
Edwards was one of five Wolves players to score in double figures. However, he was the clear leader, dropping a game-high 30 points (11-for-18 shooting). He also nearly secured a double-double with nine assists. Additionally, he went to work on defense, coming away with one steal and two blocks.
Rudy Gobert had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Julius Randle added 16 points and nine boards. Meanwhile, Mike Conley and Jaden McDaniels rounded out the double-figure scorers for the Wolves with 13 and 10 respectively.
Steph Curry led the Golden State Warriors with 23 points. Jonathan Kumina (13), Andrew Wiggins (11) and Draymond Green (10) also scored in double-figures.
Anthony Edwards talks about talking trash with Steph Curry after the Timberwolves-Warriors game
Following the Minnesota Timberwolves' 107-90 victory over the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Edwards joined "SportsCenter" for a postgame interview.
In the interview, Edwards was asked about giving credit to Steph Curry as an inspiration for the number of 3-pointers he's been making. The Wolves star was asked if Curry noticed his game.
He responded by saying that Curry not only knows, he tells him every time they see each other. Edwards said that Curry said "right back" to him because their teams are facing each other again on Sunday.
Edwards also shared that Curry talks trash a lot as well.
"He be trash-talking out there for sure," Edwards said.
Anthony Edwards and Steph Curry have had the pleasure of sharing the court as teammates, albeit on the international stage. Both players were crucial members of the USA Men's team that won gold during this year's Paris Olympics.
