The latest chapter in the LeBron James vs. Steph Curry rivalry unfolded on Saturday, with the Lakers securing a confidence-boosting 118-108 victory over the Golden State Warriors. LeBron delivered a stellar double-double performance, leading the Purple and Gold to the win, while Curry struggled offensively, particularly in the second half, falling short for his team.
Following the matchup, veteran analyst Skip Bayless weighed in on the ongoing debate between the two four-time NBA champions. Bayless firmly stated that the Lakers superstar, even at 40 years old, is currently playing better basketball than Curry, despite being four years his senior.
"Man, what a shockingly uncharacteristic night for Steph Curry, who always lights up the Lakers," Bayless tweeted. "4-17!? Didn't score in the 2nd half as Dubs fall below .500. LeBron is better at 40 than Steph is at 36."

LeBron James delivered an impressive performance, finishing the game with 25 points, five rebounds, 12 assists and one steal. He shot 12 of 25 from the field, including 0 of 1 from beyond the arc.
In contrast, Steph Curry struggled offensively, posting 13 points, one rebound, nine assists and two steals. He shot just 4 of 17 from the floor, including 2 of 9 from 3-point range, highlighting a tough night for the Warriors' star.
Steph Curry on his underwhelming performance vs. Lakers
Steph Curry was forthright in taking responsibility for the Golden State Warriors' loss to the Lakers, acknowledging that his underwhelming performance was a key factor. The four-time NBA champion admitted that he fell short, both in making adjustments and converting his scoring opportunities.
"I just gotta play better," Curry said. "… Any game where I play like that, it's gonna be hard for us to win. At the end of the day, you got to make adjustments, find space, and, knock down the shots that you're supposed to. And I didn't do that."
Curry will have a chance to redeem himself after his uncharacteristic performance against the Lakers when the Warriors host the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
