We're living in polarizing and divisive times right now, and social media has been flooded with hatred lately. No one, not even former NBA players like Ron Harper, is safe from it.
That was evident again in a clip shared by @SeeRacists on X, where a black woman repeatedly calls a black man the N-word. The caption of the post asked how one should handle such a situation.
"Smack her *ss hard!!!!!!" an infuriated Ron Harper tweeted.

Ron Harper discusses Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant comparisons, debates Bulls vs. Warriors
Ron Harper had a privileged career in the league. He got to play with two of the greatest players of all time: Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, winning rings with both.
That's why he's an authorized voice to compare and talk about them:
"He's probably as close as anyone else to ever gonna be competing with MJ," Harper said in an interview early in November (per news.az). "He was a very competitive competitor. He patterned his game, walked and talked like MJ, and be like MJ. And them two became special close at the end of my career. When you watch MJ, you see him, it's the same thing."
Then, Harper admitted that there were some minor physical differences between the two:
"What I tell people separates Kobe from MJ, MJ was about 230 pounds, and Kobe was about 210. And you know, the physicality that MJ played with on the offensive and defensive end will wear him down," Harper added. "But as far as athletic-wise, the same fadeaway, the jump shot, the midrange game, Kobe had all of that and will compete until the end of the day -- like MJ."
The former champion didn't stop there. He also addressed the never-ending debate about whether the 2016 Golden State Warriors, which broke the 1996 Bulls' record for most regular-season wins in a season, would've beaten those Bulls:
"73-9 sounds good. But 72-10 has a ring to it," Harper said. "It doesn't mean a thing without that ring. You can't be the greatest without that team. Who's Stephen Curry gonna dunk on? If you're talking about our rules, it's too physical. We could adapt to any style of basketball they want to play."
At the end of the day, both Kobe and Jordan were unique in their own way, and the same goes for the Warriors and Bulls.
