For his actions in Game 2, Draymond Green has officially been suspended for Game 3 against the Sacramento Kings. Needless to say, fans were livid when they heard the news regarding the Warriors forward's status for the next game.
Green has earned a reputation as a bit of a controversial character. His recent playoff antics have gained him further notoriety. In Game 2 against the Kings, Green was ejected after stomping on Domantas Sabonis' chest.
There have been a lot of opinions regarding the call itself. While some have outright lambasted Green for his actions, others believe it was Sabonis who initiated the incident by locking Draymond's ankles.
Regardless, Green's actions saw him out for Game 2. Now, an official statement from the NBA will see the forward suspended from Game 3 at Chase Center as well.

With a key player missing a vital game, Warriors fans were furious when they heard the news.
Here are some of the reactions from fans to the statement on Twitter:
With the series heading back to the Bay Area, the Dubs were in a far better position to even the series out. Without Green, this may be a far more challenging task.

Draymond Green's absence could hurt the Warriors
Draymond Green, in many ways, is one of the most important players on the Golden State Warriors roster. Although he is outspoken and has a tendency to engage in some questionable antics, what he brings to the hardwood as a playmaker and defender is arguably unmatched.
Game 3 at home was expected to be a turning point for the Warriors. Given their impressive record at home, the Dubs had a far superior chance of clawing their way back in the series.
However, with Green's suspension, the Dubs will be without one of their best defensive players. Additionally, with an evident lack of size on their roster, the Warriors may also have some trouble on the rebounding front.
While several fans have voiced their concerns regarding the tough situation, some believe that Green's absence could be a good thing. Whether this suspension could help the Warriors rally their forces together, however, will be seen on Thursday.
