"So tired of this white media"- Ex Warriors champ makes feelings known on Russell Wilson slander in favor of Justin Herbert

Years removed from winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors, Nick Young has transitioned into a career as an analyst. While he mainly talks about basketball, the journeyman guard recently shared his thoughts on the coverage of NFL quarterbacks.

On Saturday, the NFL kicked off the postseason with a pair of wild-card matchups. The first matchup saw the Houston Texans take down the LA Charges, followed by the Baltimore Ravens beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in game two.

Amid the playoff action, Young took to X (formerly Twitter) to talk about the perception of quarterbacks around the league. Mainly, how Russell Wilson and Justin Herbert are viewed in much different lights despite both coming up short in the postseason.

"ESPN will shit on Russ Wilson and say justin herbert top 5 im so tired of this white media," Young wrote.

Young spent over a decade in the league, suiting up for multiple franchises in that time. Among the teams he played for were the LA Lakers, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.

Young's big moment in the NBA came in 2018 when he signed with the Golden State Warriors. Led by Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, he'd be part of the supporting cast that helped the team secure a championship.

Following his lone season with the Warriors, Young spent a year with the Denver Nuggets before ending his playing career.

Former Warriors guard Nick Young urges media to call out Justin Herbert

Young's football rant would not end there, as he would continue following the Charges coming up short against the Texans. The former Warriors guard urged the media to talk about Justin Herbert the same way they do other quarterbacks around the NFL.

In the midst of the game, Young felt the officials were trying to swing things for the Chargers. He accused the refs of calling countless penalties in hopes of Herbet getting LA back within striking distance.

When the final buzzer sounded, Young continued his rant regarding Herbert and the media. He called out analyst Colin Cowherd, saying that he needs to talk about the Chargers QB like he does when it comes to Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts.

"Y’all better kill Herbert like you do Lamar @TheHerd talking about he top 5 and trash Wilson hurtz Lamar."

Herbert had his fair share of struggles against the Texans' defense on Saturday. He ended the game 14-for-32 and threw four interceptions, one of which ended up being returned for a 38-yard touchdown.
