During the 1990s, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen cemented themselves as one of the best duos in NBA history. They won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and completed two three-peats. Years removed from their success, Pippen made a bold statement regarding himself and MJ.
Looking back at his career, Pippen views himself as a champion no matter the circumstances. He recently proclaimed that he would still have won six titles even if he had not played alongside Jordan.
While on his podcast, Draymond Green reacted to Pippen's latest comments. He found them outlandish and doesn't think he'd win at the same level without Jordan by his side.
"What's wrong with Scottie man," Green said. "Somebody got to check on Scottie man. I'm a big Scottie fan. I don't know what Scottie going through, but I send my love."

"You start making comments like Scottie been making lately, and people start to remember you for those comments and not necessarily for being Scottie Pippen," he added.
Pippen was a Hall of Fame talent in his own right, but he was always an apparent sidekick to Jordan on the Bulls. He kept the team competitive when MJ retired to play baseball, but they weren't a championship-caliber squad again until "His Airness" returned.
Scottie Pippen has an interesting take regarding Michael Jordan and the NBA "GOAT" debate
It's well documented that Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan's relationship is rocky, dating back to their time as teammates. Despite this, Pippen has defended his former running mate numerous times. However, the Hall of Fame forward recently revealed an interesting take regarding the greatest of all-time (GOAT) debate.
Typically, when fans and analysts discuss who the best is, it's between Jordan and LeBron James. Pippen doesn't see it that way, as he feels he belongs atop the list over the LA Lakers star because of team success.
"I'm speaking from a team standpoint," Pippen said. "My success as a team is more successful than LeBron's, I got six rings."
Later, in his interview on the "Patrick Bet-David Podcast," Pippen somewhat backed off his statement. He was willing to admit that Jordan was the best player ever, but he felt he was the best teammate ever.
"If you want to say it that way," Pippen continued. "But again, team sports to me, there's no GOAT."
These comments are the latest in a long list of remarks from Pippen regarding the GOAT debate. Over the years, he's made countless cases for Jordan and James as the best players in history.
