"Somebody fix his other eye" - NBA fans roast Charleston White for ranking LeBron James below Gary Payton on his GOAT list

Comedian Charleston White didn't list LeBron James as one of his top five NBA players. In an interview posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, White revealed who he thinks the top 10 players are. While James is in his top 10 list, he ranked other players ahead of him.

According to White, he doesn't believe the LA Lakers star is a top 10 player of all time. The comedian mentioned past players he thinks are better than the league's all-time leading scorer.

"Top 10," White said asked where he ranks James.

White was asked why he doesn't consider the four-time champion as a top-five player.

"No man, you got Wilt Chamberlain, you got Magic Johnson, Gary Payton, Daryl Dawkins. You got some names that could go in that top five, that can be argued. It's just, most haven't seen them played. It's some names there that I believe go way before LeBron."

Charleston White got jumped by Laker fans for his LeBron James take

There have been countless opinions regarding LeBron James and how he won his fourth championship. Some recognize the win, but a few question its legitimacy. Fans and experts who doubt the Lakers' 2020 title argue that the COVID-19 pandemic questions the validity of the ring.

One of the people who hold this opinion is Charleston White. In December 2023, White held a show and provoked a few Laker fans in the crowd. He kept talking about how the 2020 title wasn't valid, which riled up a few fans. The final straw for the supporters of the 17-time NBA champions happened when the comedian threw a pot on one of them.
