Former NBA guard Lance Stephenson is starting a new career after leaving the association. After a 12-season tenure in the league with the Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, LA Lakers and Atlanta Hawks, Stephenson has been unable to find his way back to the competition. He has played in Puerto Rico with the Leones de Ponce and then joined the G League's Iowa Wolves.
NBA fans learned today (Aug. 28) that Stephenson is trying his luck on a different field, launching his rap career with a video shared on TikTok.
As usual, it didn't take long for fans to react to this news, sharing mixed reactions to Stephenson's song.

"Sounds better than Jaylen Brown 😂," one fan said.
"We here for it long as he got bars 👀," another fan wrote.
"Of course,he has a very good vibe🔥🔥," another fan said.
Others weren't as receptive and instantly tried to shut Stephenson down.
"Lmaooo this ain’t it," one fan commented.
Stephenson was one of the key members the Indiana Pacers of the early and mid-2010s had on the roster, with the likes of Paul George, Roy Hibbert and George Hill. He worked hard to earn his spot, becoming integral to the team that challenged the LeBron James-led Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference.
It's been two years since he last played in the association, but Stephenson is starting to focus on different goals besides basketball.
Lance Stephenson reportedly eyed 2 teams for NBA comeback
Before launching his rap career, Lance Stephenson was still trying to make it to the NBA. In July 2023, the swingman had ambitious plans to play with one of the two teams in New York, per reporter Tashara Jones.
“I think it is time for a New York team. I want to play for the [Brooklyn] Nets or the Knicks, either one would do.”
As we know, neither the Knicks nor the Nets brought Stephenson to the roster. Given the way their rosters were built, they didn't need Stephenson.
During his last NBA season, split between the Hawks and Pacers, Stephenson averaged 8.3 points per game on 45.5% from the field. He then signed with the Iowa Wolves in December 2023. Right now, his future remains uncertain.
Stephenson averages 8.6 PPG, 4.1 RPG and 2.9 APG for his career, shooting 44.5% from the field and 69.4% from the free-throw line.
