Ja Morant was suspended for two games by the Memphis Grizzlies before being ruled out for an additional four games. Morant took some time away from the Grizzlies after multiple disturbing incidents involving guns.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Morant entered a counseling program in Florida. The Grizzlies superstar will remain away from the team and there's no clear timetable for his return with about a month left in the season.
While the Glendale Police Department in Colorado cleared Morant of any wrongdoing, the NBA continues to investigate whether he broke CBA rules. If the league finds him guilty, Morant could get suspended for 50 games.

In an interview with ESPN, Tyus Jones revealed that the team remained in contact with Ja Morant throughout the ordeal. Jones noted that Morant was in good spirits and praised him for acknowledging that he needed help.
"His spirit has been great so far when I have spoken to him," Jones said. "It's a unique time. There comes times in life when you've got to put yourself first before your family, before basketball, before a lot of other stuff, and I don't know if a lot of guys have ever done that."
He added:
"It's a time where he's getting to put himself first, and I think he's taken advantage of that. I hope he's taking advantage of that, and it will be good for him. Basketball will be here. We support him, we have his back. He knows that, and that's just what I try to reiterate to him."
With the news of Morant entering a counseling program in Florida, fans on social media were quick to react and post memes about the situation.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies survive without Ja Morant?
The Memphis Grizzlies are now on a three-game winning streak after losing two games where Ja Morant was suspended. The Grizzlies defeated the Dallas Mavericks 104-88 on Monday night to climb back to second place in the Western Conference standings.
Memphis are likely to make the postseason unless they go on an epic collapse in the final months of the season. Morant was a huge loss for the Grizzlies, but Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. continue to carry the load for them.
The absence of Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke makes it much harder for the Grizzlies. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the Grizzlies will have Morant in the postseason. If they have him, they can win a championship, but if they don't, a first-round exit might be their best result.
