San Antonio Spurs CEO RC Buford on Thursday released a statement after the team settled out of court with therapist Hillary Cauthen. She had filed a lawsuit Nov. 3 against guard Joshua Primo and the Spurs organization that claimed he exposed himself during therapy sessions.

Primo was waived by the team in October after multiple allegations of indecent exposure to women.

In his statement, Buford said that the Spurs organization will work together with Cauthen, San Antonio's former team psychologist.

"We have decided to collaborate with Dr. Cauthen and other experts in an effort to review and improve our workplace processes and procedures," Buford said in a statement.

Prior to the Spurs' release of Buford's statement, The Athletic's Shams Charania confirmed that the Spurs organization and Cauthen had settled out of court. Instead of proceeding with the lawsuit, both sides have "agreed to resolve" their case.

The Spurs surprisingly released Primo, a second-year player who was the 12th pick in the 2021 draft, on Oct. 28. Later on, it was reported that Primo was accused of exposing himself multiple times to the former team psychologist, which resulted in him being waived abruptly.

The San Antonio Spurs are a well-respected organization, with little to no problems at all. However, whenever the organization gets the spotlight, it's usually a major issue. This is what happened in the case of Primo, who was accused of exposing himself to Hillary Cauthen nine times in the lawsuit.

According to reports, Primo and Cauthen had therapy sessions together in various medical rooms along with other places while the team was on the road. The psychologist contended in the lawsuit that she addressed the issue with Spurs general manager Brian Wright.

Earlier this year, Wright reportedly promised Cauthen that he'd "develop a plan" to deal with Primo. But the issue was reportedly never dealt with properly as the former lottery pick continued exposing himself, Cauthen contended. During this year's Las Vegas Summer League, Cauthen ultimately decided not to renew her contract with the organization.

Primo has denied the allegations through his attorney. The terms of the team's settlement with Cauthen have not been disclosed.
