Netflix's 10-part NBA docuseries "Starting 5" is set to release early next month. The series provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at five of the league's highest-profile players: LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, Jimmy Butler and Domantas Sabonis.
Per Netflix, the series showcases the quintet's "battles on and off the court" throughout the 2023-24 NBA season. That includes each star navigating injury struggles and family commitments as they work to further their respective legacies.
The five selected players are each at different points in their careers, with James being the most accomplished as a four-time champion and four-time MVP. The series features the LA Lakers veteran superstar in his 21st season, illuminating how he maintains All-NBA-caliber production at his age.

As for Edwards, the series follows his breakout fourth season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 2020 No. 1 draft pick establishes himself as one of the league's brightest young stars as Minnesota makes its first deep postseason run since 2004.
Finally, the series covers Tatum leading the East powerhouse Boston Celtics' dominant run en route to their record-breaking 18th NBA title.
