D'Angelo Russell showed his pregnant girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas love on social media on Tuesday. The couple are seemingly enjoying the early offseason and are awaiting the birth of their daughter. They welcomed a son named Riley in 2022.
In a post on his Instagram account, Russell shared an image of his pregnant girlfriend chilling under the sun. The LA Lakers guard is happy to wake up every morning with Ivaniukas, who he has been dating since early 2020 when he was still with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"Starting my morning like this," Russell wrote.

D'Angelo Russell and Laura Ivaniukas have been spending some quality time in Miami, enjoying the sun and the sand. Ivaniukas has been active on social media, updating her followers about her pregnancy. She's regularly posting her baby bump along with their son Riley.
The 25-year-old fashion model and social media influencer from Canada is currently in her 31st week of pregnancy. It has been a hard time for her but she continues to stay positive awaiting the birth of the couple's first daughter.
Ivaniukas has to take a step back from her career and focus on being healthy for her baby. It helped that she's a fitness buff and knows what to do since it's her second pregnancy. She previously worked as a model for agencies in Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and Milan, Italy.
On the other hand, Russell knows how life-changing having a kid was. He was inspired by his son's arrival in 2022, and it's probably going to be a pretty exciting journey to becoming a girl dad.
Here's what "D-Lo" told Andscape about fatherhood in April:
"Before becoming a parent, life seemed complete. But it was the arrival of Riley that filled every corner of our hearts with a love so deep. It reshaped our world, continuously teaching us patience, resilience, and the true meaning of unconditional love. A new purpose in life, beyond basketball."
D'Angelo Russell could have a busier offseason
D'Angelo Russell could be in for a busier offseason in addition to becoming a father for the second time. Russell has the option to become a free agent this summer once the season ends. He can opt out of his contract and seek a much better deal on the market.
Russell is coming off a solid season for the LA Lakers, although some might not like his performance in the playoffs. He's still a young and serviceable guard, who the Lakers might not include in their plans. They are still hunting for a new head coach, who could look into bringing a different guard.
One team linked to Russell is the Orlando Magic, an up-and-coming team looking for playoff experience and playmaking. Cole Anthony is better off the bench, Markelle Fultz will be a free agent and is injury-prone, and Jalen Suggs plays more as a shooting guard.
