NBA insider Brian Windhorst said that Steph Curry has entered a phase in his career wherein he has accepted his situation with his team. Entering Tuesday's games, the Golden State Warriors are in 12th place in the Western Conference with a 19-20 record. With the way the Warriors have been performing, their chances of competing in the postseason seem slimmer than usual.
While this comes as bad news to Warriors fans, it appears that Curry is fine with the current circumstances. Windhorst was astounded by how Curry made it seem like he wasn't desperate to chase championships. He compared the Warriors star to LeBron James, who frequently demands his team to make adjustments to their roster for their championship aspirations.
"It sounds like Steph Curry is at acceptance stage," Windhorst said on Tuesday. "I can't say for sure what conversations he's had with the front office, but my belief would be he has communicated that to them as well. There's no reason for you to go chasing something to fix a team that maybe it would be a desperate move.
"This is so unusual for a star player to say. I mean, LeBron operates, and has for decades, exactly the opposite. He says, 'Trade the 2031 first-round pick. I don't care about that.'"

Steph Curry uninterested in trading Warriors' future for championship aspirations
Steph Curry is a four-time NBA champion and is still an exceptional player. His numbers may not be as high as they once were, but they're still on the All-Star level. He's averaging 22.7 points, 6.1 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Given these figures, one would naturally assume that the Warriors would take advantage of Steph's prime.
However, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, it seems that Curry has intentions of forcing the Warriors organization to build a championship-winning roster around him.
According to his longtime teammate, Draymond Green, they have no desire to trade their young roster in exchange for star players. Green acknowledged that the young guys on the team are Golden State's future. They'd rather help them grow instead of ruin the franchise by getting rid of draft picks and young talent.
