Steph Curry and Draymond Green made their feeling known on the Golden State Warriors' recent decision to trade for two-way guard Dennis Schroder. In the deal, the Warriors acquired the veteran point guard while sending De’Anthony Melton, Reece Beekman and three unprotected second-round draft picks to the Brooklyn Nets.
Following the Warriors' 143-133 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in a high-scoring showdown at the Chase Center on Sunday, franchise superstar Steph Curry shared his perspective on the front office's move to bring Schroder into the roster.
"Excited to see him plug in. Guy I could probably play with in the backcourt," Curry told reporters. "Can handle a lot of ballhandling responsibilities when I'm off the court and gives us another guy who can attack a defense. ... Should be a seamless transition."

Meanwhile, another cornerstone of the franchise, Draymond Green, spoke candidly about Schroder's addition, emphasizing that the veteran guard brings a key element to the team that has been missing this season.
“I don’t think he was necessarily brought here to fit," Green said. "We play a certain style of basketball he does not really play. We need someone who can do the things he does. I’m looking forward to us adjusting to him."
Green further continued:
Steve Kerr on Dennis Schroder
Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr heaped praise on Dennis Schroder, commending the German guard's competitive spirit. Kerr noted that he has witnessed Schroder's tenacity firsthand during his time coaching both the Warriors and Team USA in international tournaments.
"I'm thrilled. I told Dennis today he's kicked my a** on three different continents. So, (if) you can't beat 'em, join 'em," Kerr said ahead of the Warriors' game against the Mavericks on Sunday.
Coach Kerr stopped short of providing a confirmation but expressed confidence that Schroder would be an ideal fit alongside Steph Curry in the Warriors' backcourt.
Schroder was in outstanding form during his stint with the Brooklyn Nets this season. The German guard averaged 18.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting an efficient 45.2% from the field, including an impressive 38.7% from beyond the arc.
