Steph Curry underperformed in the Golden State Warriors' 111-105 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The two-time MVP managed only 10 points, shooting 15.4%. He had two at the half on zero field goals. Curry didn't make his first shot until the end of the third quarter.

A better effort from him may have swung the game in the Warriors' favor, who need some wins after a lean stretch, losing 10 of their last 13 games. Curry was cognizant that he needed to play better and held himself accountable.

"Down the stretch ... I missed two big shots, one to tie, one to take the lead," Curry said. "Shots that I pride myself on. Gotta make those."

Curry said the Warriors should have matched the Pacers' intensity more consistently, but it happened in spurts only. He quickly came back to the point about his play, saying:

"I got to play better and I will."

Curry's woes aren't recent. It has spanned across the season thus far. He's averaging 21.8 points in 23 games, his lowest scoring average since his third year in the NBA. Curry is also shooting a career-low 43.5% from the field.

Former Rockets star wants James Harden and Norman Powell to get All-Star nods ahead of Steph Curry

With the All-Star voting underway, Steph Curry's prospects to start are in jeopardy. However, that's not all. Former Rockets star Chandler Parsons believes Curry doesn't deserve a vote over James Harden and Norman Powell amid his struggles.

Parsons cited Curry's scoring average and career-low shooting efficiency, along with the Warriors' 15-13 record, as deciding factors. He believes Curry will make it to the All-Star game because of his popularity, but based on performance, Harden, Powell, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and even Jalen Green could be ahead of him.

However, Steph Curry has been a staple at the All-Star game. He may get in. Curry might improve his performance and get the nod as a starter again. This year's event being held in San Francisco certainly pushes the need for him to represent the home team, so regardless of whether he improves or not, Curry will likely be an All-Star.
