Steph Curry had a chance to team up with one of the greatest scorers of this generation with Kevin Durant with the Golden State Warriors. Due to their stardom, some players tend to get overlooked by many, and Klay Thompson had such an experience.
In the 2016 offseason, the Warriors shifted the balance of the NBA when they signed Kevin Durant. Before their season began, Curry and his teammates went to a Drake concert that was being held at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. They were with Durant, who was a new addition to their squad.
According to Curry, who recounted the story on JJ Redick's podcast, "The Old Man & The Three," Drake got in a lift. The lift carried him around the arena, passing by his fans. The Canadian rapper went past the Warriors' players and noticed them.

As soon as he went past Curry's group, Drake acknowledged the success of the NBA team. He even mentioned Durant, who, at the time, hadn't played a game for the Warriors yet.
"He goes past and he's like, 'Oh, we're in Oracle Arena! It's crazy. Y'all the champs. That was a tough year. Man, y'all got Steph, Draymond, KD now, oh, uh, No. 11,'" Curry said, "So we all start laughing. It's like he was just in the moment.
"Seth (Curry) was with us, and after we get in the car on the way home, he's like, 'Man, y'all cheating because the fact that Drake didn't know Klay's name.'"
Hopefully, it was all in good fun as the Grammy-award winning rapper is known to have fun with NBA players. He did some comedy sketches for the NBA Awards in 2017.
The 2015-16 season was the best, according to Steph Curry
The 2015-16 NBA season is iconic for many reasons. The late Kobe Bryant played his final season with the LA Lakers and concluded his 20-season run. The Cleveland Cavaliers ended their city's 52-year championship drought behind the leadership of LeBron James.
The most iconic of them all, however, was when the Golden State Warriors broke the record for most wins in a single season. The record was previously held by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls when they won 72 games in 1995-96.
Luckily for Steph Curry, he was part of the squad that set a record. The Warriors had 73 wins during that season, and they could've possibly gone down as the greatest team in NBA history. However, that didn't happen as they weren't able to cap it off with a championship.
The Warriors bounced back the following season when they added Durant to the roster and obliterated the entire association.
