Steph Curry just became the Golden State Warriors player with the most All-Star selections in the franchise's history. While he continues to make an impact on the court, Curry's mom Sonya Curry is doing so off the court.

She will make an appearance as a guest speaker at the 'Mental Health and Empowerment Brunch Tour' of 'My Sister's Keeper' organization at the Three Embarcadero Center, San Francisco.

Steph Curry's mother posted an update on her social media about her upcoming appearance during the All-Star Weekend (February 14-16). In the IG post that Sonya Curry made, she wrote that she would discuss her book and other topics.

"I will be there to discuss my book Fierce Love, faith, motherhood, mental health and more!" Sonya wrote.

Sonya Curry has largely kept her life very private despite the superstardom that her son Steph Curry enjoys. She had previously opened up about her experience with motherhood and even considered abortion when she was pregnant with Steph Curry.

In the past, Sonya has also opened up about her divorce from her former husband and Curry's father Dell Curry, while also dealing with cheating allegations.

The divorce between Steph Curry's mother, Sonya Curry, and his father, Dell Curry, wasn't ugly. However, the couple blamed each other, alleging cheating in the relationship.

According to Black Information Network, both Sonya and Dell Curry alleged cheating in the court documents when they filed for divorce.

Earlier, on Dec. 31 last year, on the "Travis Hearn Podcast," Sonya opened up about her relationship through a reference to the Bible, comparing her position to Biblical figures.

"I was going through the Bible, and ... I'm Eve. I'm the one who knew better, but wanted to know more," a tearful Sonya said. "I'm Sarah, who God said, you're gonna have a child. And I was like, I'm gonna make this happen now.
"I gave that blessing away, and now I have to deal with these repercussions. I'm the overworker. When I should be sitting at his feet, when I should be sitting, reading his Word. And I've experienced adultery, I've experienced people throwing rocks."

In August 2021, the BIN reported that Sonya Curry had alleged that her husband Dell Curry had affairs with multiple women during their marriage. In the divorce papers submitted by Sonya, she also alleged "marital misconduct" during the marriage.

On the other hand, in the court documents filed in the North Carolina court, Dell Curry alleged "acts of illicit sexual misconduct" against his former wife. Curry also alleged that his former wife wasn't honest about incidents related to NFL player Steven Johnson.

Having been through such mentally straining events, Sonya Curry knows the mental toll rigors of life can have on an individual.
