Steph Curry erupted for 18 third-quarter points in Game 3 of the 2018 Western Conference semifinals between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets. The highlight of the period was a floater by the two-time MVP, who was caught on camera saying “This is my f**king house.” Curry opened up in an interview that her mother, Sonya Curry, called him out for it.

Sonya was happy with her son’s impressive performance but not so with how he talked. Curry had this to say to ESPN’s Chris Haynes about what she got from her mother for his actions:

"She already sent me two home videos, showing me the clip and playing it back. She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap. It's a message I've heard before."

Curry added:

"She's right. I gotta do better. I can't talk like that."

Emotions likely ran high for Steph Curry in front of Dubs fans. After Golden State grabbed a 54-43 halftime lead, the Warriors wanted to get revenge. Curry scored 16 points in the Dubs’ 127-105 loss in Game 2. The superstar point guard’s eruption carried the home team to a 126-85 win and a 2-1 series lead.

Klay Thompson had a hilarious reaction to Steph Curry’s NSFW outburst

Klay Thompson had an off-night in Game 3 of the 2018 semis against the Houston Rockets. He had 13 points on 6-for-14 shooting, including 1-for-3 from deep. He was ecstatic about Steph Curry’s explosion as it carried them to a blowout victory.

Thompson had a front-row ticket to Curry’s trash-talking and had this to say after the game in a chat with USA Today:

“I saw that. That was funny. I hope Riley didn’t see it, but it got Oracle pretty fired up. That’s a rare occurrence. I’ve never really seen Steph … use that language, but that’s what the playoffs brings out in you. Don’t do that at home, kids. It’s just once in a while.”

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson had been in numerous playoff battles and high-pressure situations. Thompson’s reaction to Curry’s rare outburst indicated how the franchise point guard normally keeps his expletives to a minimum.
