Wednesday's game marked the third international friendly game leading up to the 2024 Paris Olympics, with Team USA now sitting at 3-0. On Jul. 10, the team competed against Canada in their first friendly, picking up a big 86-72 win that saw Steph Curry score 12 points in just 19 minutes.
On Monday, the team then participated in their second warmup game, playing against Australia, who they defeated 98-92. While Team USA was able to jump out to an early lead, Australia attempted to mount a comeback late in the game, leaving some USA supporters concerned.
Steph Curry notably struggled in the game, finishing with just three points in 21 minutes while going 1-6 from the floor. As he showed in Wednesday's game against Serbia, Monday was simply an off-night for the four-time NBA champ.
Team USA will next compete against South Sudan on Saturday, Jul. 20, with their final warmup game set for Jul. 22 against Germany, who reign as the defending FIBA World Cup Champions.
Their Olympic campaign will then begin on Jul 28 when they face off with Serbia in the first game of the Group Phase. The team will then be in action again on Jul. 31 when they face off with South Sudan in their second Group Phase game, leading up to their final game against Puerto Rico on Aug. 3.
From there, the top teams will advance to the knockout round, with USA currently sitting as favorites to win the gold medal.
