Steph Curry and Team USA hit the court again today to face South Sudan for the second time in 11 days. After a close, hard-fought matchup on July 20, the Americans were set to make a statement and leave no doubt that the first game was only a fluke.

Curry played 13 minutes in the first half, attempting a shot from the field, which was a 3-pointer, missing it. He registered one rebound and two assists in the first half while Team USA cruised to a 55-36 lead over the young African team.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant led the way for Team USA, scoring 10 and nine points, respectively. Tyrese Haliburton and Derrick White scored seven and six, respectively, to contribute to a commanding lead.

The second half wasn't much different for Curry. He attempted nine shots from the field, making one 2-pointer. With one free-throw attempt, the point guard finished the game with three points. Curry added one rebound and four assists in 21 minutes.

Paul Pierce uses Steph Curry & Team USA stars to throw shade at 1992 Dream Team

Former NBA champion Paul Pierce had a strong opinion about the 2024 Team USA and the 1992 Dream Team, which had been a common conversation before the start of the Olympic tournament. During Tuesday's edition of FS1's Undisputed, Pierce said the 2024 squad would dominate the 1992 team.

"This team would dominate the 1992 team. First of all, Larry Bird couldn't play no more. He was done. Magic was done, pretty much. Who's their best player? Michael Jordan, clearly. But he wasn't even the best player in the Olympics, that was Charles Barkley."

Pierce added that the Dream Team wouldn't be capable of guarding modern-day superstars like LeBron James and Steph Curry.

"This team this year would dominate that team. Who's gonna guard LeBron? Charles Barkley? Who's gonna guard Steph Curry? John Stockton?"

The Golden State Warriors superstar is trying to win his first Olympic gold medal this year to add more silverware to a terrific career.
