Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors were back in action on Tuesday night, welcoming the Miami Heat at the Chase Center. It has been a tough past month for the Warriors after starting the season at 12-3. Curry's numbers are also down, but how did he perform against the Heat?
Curry finished with 31 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, but it wasn't enough to give the Warriors the win. Golden State suffered another loss after failing to capitalize on their momentum in the third quarter. They had a shot at stealing the game in the final period, but they fell flat with another embarrassing display.
Trayce Jackson-Davis was the only other player who showed up for the Warriors, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds and two steals. It was a total team effort for the Heat with six players in double figures as they cruised to a 114-98 victory.

Here are Steph Curry's stats for the game:
How did Steph Curry perform against the Miami Heat?
Steph Curry had the hot hand for the Golden State Warriors in the first quarter, finishing with eight points and making two 3-point shots. However, the Warriors were still down 29-23 due to the combination of offense and defense by the Miami Heat.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. has stepped up in the absence of Jimmy Butler, who has been suspended after requesting a trade out of the team. Butler was linked to the Warriors earlier this season, but they are reportedly not interested.
In the second quarter, Curry added 12 points to his tally, but the Warriors were still behind the Heat. He didn't have any major help to mount a comeback as Miami entered the second half with a 61-48 advantage.
The Golden State Warriors came alive in the third quarter with a familiar run to start the second half. The Warriors slowly trimmed the Miami Heat's lead to just five points with less than two minutes left in the period. Steph Curry only had three points in the quarter, but it was only a six-point lead heading into the final quarter.
Golden State was within striking distance three minutes into the fourth period when the Heat turned it on and turned a one-point lead into a double-digit advantage. It was another frustrating night for Curry, who had eight points in the quarter. He barely had any help on offense, and the Warriors couldn't make stops when they needed it the most.
The Warriors have now lost two in a row and are 18-18. They begin a challenging four-game road trip on Thursday in Detroit before visiting the Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
