Steph Curry was back in the Golden State Warriors lineup after missing Sunday's preseason game against the Detroit Pistons. Curry suffered a minor finger injury last Friday in Golden State's win over the Sacramento Kings. He was given a rest and started in the Warriors' matchup versus the LA Lakers tonight.

The four-time NBA champion played in all four quarters as coach Steve Kerr started to ramp up his minutes in preparation for the regular season. Curry finished the game with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals in 28 minutes of action.

Curry struggled with his shot, going just 6-for-18 from the field, including 3-for-11 from downtown. Despite the poor shooting night for the two-time MVP, the Warriors still easily defeated the Lakers 111-97 at T-Mobile Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here are Curry's stats for the game:

How did Steph Curry fare against the Lakers?

Steph Curry must have been feeling the effects of his minor finger injury since he shot poorly from the field. Curry finished the first half with 11 points, three rebounds and three assists as the Warriors led 58-51. He was 4-for-12 from the field, including 2-for-7 from beyond the arc.

The superstar guard also missed a free throw in the first quarter, so it was an uncanny half for him. However, it's understandable given that his finger injury is on his shooting hand. He did get a highlight shot at the end of the first half after hitting a 3-point shot over Anthony Davis to give the Warriors a seven-point lead with 1.2 seconds left.

In the second half, Curry remained active and still shot his typical attempts. It was not just going, but his teammates picked up the slack. Coach Steve Kerr gave him some different lineups, with Andrew Wiggins starting at shooting guard. Kerr has tried a variety of lineups throughout the preseason, looking for the ideal candidate to replace Klay Thompson.

Before the game against the LA Lakers, reporters asked Steph Curry about the status of his right index finger. Curry suffered the injury in the game versus the Sacramento Kings, playing defense and getting the finger caught in a player's jersey.

The Golden State Warriors superstar was able to play on Tuesday night although he admitted to still feeling the injury.

“I feel it, but I can play," Curry said. "I can't re-injure it unless I do something crazy."

The Warriors have one more preseason game left and it's against the Lakers again on Friday at Chase Center. That gives Curry plenty of time to fully recover from the injury and get his rhythm back before opening the season on the road at Moda Center versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
