Insider suggests Steph Curry trade to Magic

Yahoo Sports! insider Kevin O'Connor floated the idea of a trade sending Steph Curry to the Orlando Magic. While the Warriors have been hesitant to part ways with their superstar, Curry himself has stated a preference for being in a winning situation, should that opportunity arise.

O'Connor argued that a move to Orlando would enhance their offense. While the Magic have the second-worst offensive rating in the league, their defense ranks fourth.

He proposed a deal in which Orlando would acquire Steph Curry in exchange for Anthony Black, Jonathan Isaac, Cole Anthony, four first-round picks and two pick swaps.

"The Warriors would get Orlando’s whole future, basically with the rights to six firsts, plus Black, who has shown promise as a recent lottery pick," O'Connor wrote.

"With that said, the Magic are a fair bet to sustain success so there’d be risk in accepting their picks given how young the core is even if Curry were to rapidly decline."

In the offseason, Curry signed a $62.6 million extension, securing his stay with the Warriors through the 2026-27 season unless a trade materializes.
