Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are looking to put together some wins to get above .500 midway through the season. The Warriors are coming off a 131-106 victory over the Chicago Bulls. They face a familiar foe on Saturday in the form of LeBron James and the LA Lakers.

Curry was the star of the Warriors' lineup with Buddy Hield, Gui Santos, Andrew Wiggins and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Draymond Green continued to be out with a strained left calf, but Golden State got a boost with Brandin Podziemski back off the bench for the second straight contest.

But how did the four-time NBA champ fare tonight against the Lakers? Curry finished with 13 points and nine assists, struggling in the second half after hot start in the first quarter. He went scoreless in the final two quarters as the Lakers earned a 118-108 win.

How did Steph Curry perform tonight against the LA Lakers?

Steph Curry scored eight points in the first quarter, adding two assists. He started the game hot, but the LA Lakers were still ahead 27-26 after the first quarter. He was taken out after almost nine minutes on the floor.

Curry added five points in the second quarter as the Warriors continued their back-and-forth matchup against the Lakers. Both teams were unable to take over the game, with the visitors keeping Golden State at bay with a 59-58 lead at halftime.

However, the two-time MVP's shots in the second half weren't falling. He missed all of his nine shots in the third and fourth quarters, with the Lakers holding him scoreless.

Six Warriors players stepped up and scored in double-digits, but it wasn't enough to get the win. Andrew Wiggins had 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. Brandin Podziemski scored 17 points off the bench in just his second game back from injury.

Meanwhile, LeBron James had 25 points, five rebounds and 12 assists for the Lakers. Anthony Davis was unstoppable with 36 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Dalton Knecht had 13 points off the bench.

What's next for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors are back to having a below .500 record following their loss to the LA Lakers. The Warriors are still struggling for consistency and might need to make moves at the trade deadline to even have a chance at making the playoffs.

Steph Curry and company will continue their homestand on Tuesday by welcoming the Utah Jazz. They then have three more games against the OKC Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic before going on a grueling seven-game road trip from Feb. 5 to 21.
