Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors faced the Houston Rockets on Wednesday as part of the 202 Emirates NBA Cup quarterfinals. The Warriors are looking to make it to the semifinals and face the OKC Thunder for a chance to lift the NBA Cup.
But how did Curry perform tonight against the Rockets? The four-time NBA champion finished the game with 19 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals. He went 8-for-17 from the field and made three 3-point shots.
However, the Warriors fell short of making the semifinals of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup as the Rockets staged a 6-0 comeback in the final minute to steal the 91-90 win. There were a couple of questionable calls in the final five seconds, but Golden State could have protected the lead much better.

How did Steph Curry fare tonight against the Houston Rockets?
Steph Curry had a good first quarter with six points as the Golden State Warriors were down 20-18 after the first 12 minutes. It was a rough period for the Warriors and the Houston Rockets as both teams struggled to make consistent shots.
Their defense also stood out, making the game look like an old-school battle from the 1990s. Curry added just four points in the second quarter as the Rockets and Warriors still had a hard time making baskets. Houston did make a run midway through the period, but the Warriors had their own to finish the half.
Steph Curry scored five points in the third quarter as the game became a back-and-forth slugfest. It was a rough game in terms of offense, but the defense for both teams showed up.
In the fourth quarter, coach Steve Kerr made a weird decision to sit Curry midway through the period despite being just up by a point. The two-time MVP returned three minutes later to close the game out.
However, Curry failed to score in the four minutes of the game, with the Golden State Warriors getting stuck at 90 in the final three minutes. The Houston Rockets made a 6-0 run to finish the game and advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup. They will face the OKC Thunder on Dec. 15 in Las Vegas.
It was a low-scoring affair with Jonathan Kuminga as the Warriors' highest scorer with 20 points. Buddy Hield was on fire in the third quarter, but finished with just 15 points.
The Rockets, on the other hand, were led by Alperen Sengun's 26 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jabari Smith Jr. had 16 points, while Jalen Green scored 12 points, including two clutch free throws that sealed the win.
