Steph Curry and Steve Kerr sent a clear message to the 'Warriors' young players after avoiding another second-half meltdown in Saturday's 113-103 road win over the Timberwolves. The Warriors were up 21 at one point, but the Wolves overturned that deficit in the second half, taking a one-point lead on two occasions.

Golden State required a special effort from Curry to salvage the collapse. He scored 13 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, including 11 straight to close the game. The Warriors' offense looked streaky in that span, with ill-advised decision-making from multiple players.

It has been an unwanted trend impacting their game plan this season. Curry and Kerr ensured they made their feelings known after Saturday, as both sent a strong message on how they should play next to the two-time MVP.

"Anybody who plays with me has to play decisive and confident," Curry said. "You’re okay with the mistakes as long as they’re done with the mindset of being aggressive. I’m cool with that."

Meanwhile, Kerr hailed one of the best possessions of the game when the Warriors swung the ball around multiple times to find Curry open. He ensured he sent his message to the younger players, citing that play.

"We have Steph Curry on our team, so pass the ball, move the ball" Kerr said. "This is how we've played for 10 years and it's important for our young players to understand. We don't need contested 17-footers with 12 (seconds) on the shot clock."

The ball and player movement has been the foundation for Warriors basketball through their dynasty years. It separated them from the rest of the NBA and made them successful. Some of it still exists, especially with veterans on the floor. However, that's not the case when the younger players are in action, causing issues on the offensive end for the Dubs.

Brandin Podziemski responds to Steve Kerr's message on how to play with Steph Curry

For everyone who has followed the Warriors closely this season, it was seemingly understandable who Steve Kerr and Steph Curry pointed to when they commented on young players. Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga, who have been in the firing line multiple times in the past, were the recipients of that message.

When Podziemski spoke to reporters, he was asked about Kerr's message specifically, and he responded to that, saying:

"I don't really think. I just play. When I'm out there and I'm open, I shoot it. If not, I make a play. I don't really look too much into. I know we have Steph Curry on the court and if he's open, I'm going throw the ball to him. I don't really look too deep into those messages."

Podziemski has underdelivered this season after an impressive rookie year. He's often seemed out of sync on offense. Nevertheless, he had one of his better games on Saturday. Podziemski finished with 12 points off the bench, shooting 5 of 9.
