Stephen A. Smith approves of Patrick Beverley dissing Rudy Gobert's teammate following Draymond Green's chokehold

The NBA world, including Stephen A. Smith, was stunned during a recent incident between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors. Draymond Green put Rudy Gobert in a chokehold, which resulted in the Warriors star getting ejected from the game even before anyone could score.

Fans and stars around the league went off on social media, criticizing Green's actions. Amid all this, former Wolves player Patrick Beverley called out Karl-Anthony Towns for not helping his teammate get out of the situation.

Beverley addressed the situation between the game in his podcast. He talked about how KAT should've helped out in the situation to get the players separated from one another.

Speaking on the The Pat Bev Podcast, Beverley said:

"KAT bogus as hell. KAT bogus man, straight up and ANT was back there too. And Draymond knew too, don't nobody like Rudy anyway. But then I see KAT make a mean mug face, but then you ain't doing s**t. Choke Draymond back! KAT, nah f**k that. I taught you better than that."

Smith agreed with Beverley and wondered why Towns didn't help. Speaking on the Stephen A. Smith Show, the 56-year-old said (timestamp - 6:30):

"The last line he said there, there's something to hold on to, 'I taught you better than that.' What is he trying to say?" Smith said. "When something's about to go down, you got to be one of those dudes in line ready to do something about it. Why did you just stand there and be in the scene and just holding on to everybody instead of grabbing Draymond and getting him the hell off of Rudy Gobert, who was your teammate."

"Patrick Beverley was also pointing out how Draymond knew a whole bunch of people didn't like Rudy Gobert anyway. So Gobert, who's gotten into issues with his teammates from time to time, you had some people that were like, 'Hey, we ain't feeling him at all'. That's Patrick Beverley's perspective and I don't think he's wrong."

The league hasn't issued any type of suspension for the ejected players from the said game. Many believe that Green will be suspended for more than one game due to his actions.
