Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was left disappointed with the team's performance on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons. Coming off their second loss in a row, Kerr expressed his thoughts on the Warriors' shortcomings.
Kerr is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time. Having built the Golden State Warriors dynasty with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, he has a sharp understanding of the team's functioning.
Coming off a title run, the Warriors are considered one of the top teams in the NBA. Unfortunately, the team hasn't been firing on all cylinders as of late.

After an impressive set of wins at home, the Warriors head into a grueling five-game road trip. This has been a thorn in the team's side as this road trip has already accounted for two of their four losses this season.

With a two-game losing streak on his hands, Steve Kerr was rightfully disappointed with the team's performance. After their most recent loss against the Detroit Pistons, Kerr expressed his thoughts on the team's effort on the floor. He said:
"I was talking about the game being connected and it just feels like we're putting ourselves in tough spots offensively and that translates to defensive.
"We're late in either transition or on rotations and we just can't stop fouling. 38 more free throws tonight. We talk about it everyday. Something has to click with our guys.
"I don't think they're all blatant hacks. I think the way we're playing is affecting our defense. It looks like a pickup game out there so we have to get out and play with some purpose, play with some grit.
"Until we do then we're going to be experiencing games like this where we just never quite get the traction you need to build momentum."
Kerr's concerns with the team are quite valid. The Golden State Warriors looked like a disjointed unit during the game on Sunday. While Steph Curry and Jordan Poole gave impressive performances on the night, the team as a whole couldn't capitalize on their momentum.
The Warriors will remain on the road as they head to Florida. Facing the Miami Heat for the third game of their five-game road trip, the Dubs will hope to return to winning form.
Steve Kerr remains positive about Golden State Warriors future

The Golden State Warriors have had a less than desired start to their regular-season. With a 3-4 record after seven games, the Dubs look out of sorts. However, head coach Steve Kerr has hope for his team going forward.
A major aspect of Kerr's criticism after Sunday's loss was based around the Warriors' defense. After being one of the best defensive teams last season, the Dubs have had a defensive rating of 115.2, which is among the worst in the league this term.
This has been reflected in their performances as of late as Golden State have allowed teams to score over 120 in all of their losses.
However, there is some hope for growth from this point on. With players such as Klay Thompson and Draymond Green gradually returning, Steve Kerr remains hopeful of seeing the team return to form.
However, with a certain sense of urgency in the locker room, Kerr will also hope that the team can settle back into their offensive flow sooner rather than later. With an upcoming game against the Miami Heat, the Golden State Warriors will need to switch gears to enjoy some success on this road-trip.
