NBA legend Ron Harper sent a clear message on son Dylan Harper sharing his draft class with Cooper Flagg, another remarkable prospect trying to find his way to the association. Harper didn't like the comparisons between his kid and Flagg, clarifying that they have no rivalry.

After X (formerly Twitter) account @bustedcovmedia implied that being in the same class draft as Flagg could hurt Harper's stock, Ron had a strong rebuttal on Saturday.

"It sucks for Dylan Harper that Cooper Flagg is in his draft class. He might be the best guard prospect since Markelle Fultz or Cade Cunningham."

"That has nothing to do with what he’s doing his freshman year. Cooper Flagg and Dylan are friends so stop with the BS," Harper replied.

When another person tried to explain that Cooper Flagg's popularity overshadows Dylan Harper, his father responded clearly, saying they aren't losing sleep over that.

"We don’t care he’s playing having fun at Rutger," Ron Harper replied.

Dylan Harper is having a remarkable freshman season with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, showing up and showing out in 11 games played, averaging 23.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 52.0% from the field, including 36.4% from beyond the arc, and 75.9% from the free-throw line.

He's made an impact on the Scarlet Knights, even scoring a game-winning buzzer-beater to beat the Seton Hall Pirates on Saturday at Jersey Mike's Arena to secure the 66-63 victory.

Dylan Harper reveals how he first met Rutgers coach Steve Pikiell

Dylan Harper is having a sweet freshman season with the Scarlet Knights where Steve Pikiell is coaching him as he prepares to take the next step in his career and play in the NBA. During an interview with the Big Ten media, Harper spoke about the first time he met Pikiell.

"Home visit. My brother's first home visit, his senior year. Coach Pike and Coach Knight, they both came to the house to spend time, eat dinner with us. I remember we had this little basketball hoop in the basement."
"Coach Pike was down there, you know, playing with us, making jokes, stuff like that. So honestly, just had a great first time meeting him."

Pikiell and his father Ron Harper are all pushing Dylan to unlock his game and become the best possible player he can be for the NBA.
