Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns has seen better days in his NBA career. From making the All-Star team three times and earning an All-NBA Third Team nod, he has been relegated to a bench role as rumors of his Phoenix Suns exit continue making the rounds.

While netizens are buzzing about an impending trade, the 13-year NBA vet — whose current contract is worth $251 million according to Spotrac — is turning to his faith to remain steady in these uncertain times.

Following the Suns' 123-115 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, Beal cited some Scripture as his source of personal strength:

"I’m big in faith," Beal told reporters. "For those who are big in faith with me, First Corinthians 15:58. That’s what got me through it. Don't get wavered, man."

As per the New International Version of the Bible, the verse mentioned by Beal reads:

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

It would seem to be the perfect passage to grant spiritual relief to Beal, who has come off the bench for the last three games. So far, the results are promising in terms of scoring production: Twice, Beal scored 25 points on an efficient shooting clip, with Phoenix winning both games.

"Adversity happens, things happen, you control what you can control," Beal said of his mindset in trying times. "Just trying to impact being positive on a daily basis."

Report: Suns' Bradley Beal isn't budging on his no-trade clause

If there's one thing Beal has in his favor, it's his no-trade clause with the Suns. Fans and NBA execs alike have been curious to see if the 31-year-old guard will waive this clause and open up scenarios for him to land in a different city.

On the Jan. 8 episode of ESPN's "Get Up," NBA insider Brian Windhorst gave an update (or lack thereof) on this situation:

"His agent Mark Bartlestein told me there's been no discussion either with the Suns or any other team about Bradley Beal waiving his no-trade clause," said Windy. (1:34)

As of now, Beal remains in The Valley, but the question remains: for how long? The trade buzz will only get louder as the Feb. 6 deadline approaches.
