Karl-Anthony Towns was impressive in the New York Knicks' hard-fought 99-95 win over the gritty Brooklyn Nets. Some fans hilariously thought that KAT was trying to impress Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, who was in attendance at courtside in the Barclays Center.
Late in the second quarter, Towns grabbed an offensive rebound following a miss by Jalen Brunson. He overpowered Noah Clowney, who fouled him on his shot attempt. He converted the tough shot while falling to the floor for the and-one.
KAT then proceeded to show off his gymnastics skills by rotating before standing up. He made the bonus free throw to give the Knicks a 59-51 lead at halftime.

Since it's Brooklyn, there were some celebrities in attendance, including actress Sydney Sweeney. She's one of the internet's darlings at the moment and is one of the most popular people on the planet today.
Following Karl-Anthony Towns' extra movements on the court, some fans joked that he did it because Sweeney was watching.
"Sydney Sweeney got KAT doing gymnastics out there," a fan page tweeted.
"KAT is doing the extras just for her attentions," one fan replied.
"He saw that courtside baddie and had to show her how flexible he is," another fan joked.
Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 25 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. KAT has been the best player for the New York Knicks this season and is one of the main reasons why they are 29-16.
"KAT turned into prime Wemby trying to show off," a fan wrote.
"Men will do some crazy things w that adrenaline rush they get when a cute woman watching. We've all been there," one fan claimed.
"His neck gave it everything," another fan commented.
The Knicks had some trouble shooting the ball against a Nets team that has been one of the worst in the league over the past two weeks. But in the end, they pulled off a 99-95 victory.
What's next for Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks?
After a grueling game against the Brooklyn Nets, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks will start a five-game homestand. The Knicks have a chance to extend their winning streak at Madison Square Garden, wherein they are 14-8 this season.
The homestand begins on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings before welcoming four more Western Conference teams. It's not an easy schedule since they are also facing the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, LA Lakers and Houston Rockets.
All four teams are in the top six of the West standings, while the Kings are just a game behind the Lakers despite sitting at No. 8. The Knicks are third in the East behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.
