Team France, led by Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, will look to win Olympic gold in front of their hometown at the Paris Olympics. International friendly games are already underway this week, with teams looking to find their rhythm and make final preparations before the group phase of games begins on Jul. 27.
Team France will compete in Group B alongside Brazil, Germany, and Japan. Team Germany currently sits as the world champions after their FIBA World Cup win last summer.
Team France has put together a strong roster, led by four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert and generational star Victor Wembanyama.

Team France's remaining International-Friendly schedule and schedule for the Group Phase of the Olympics
While the Group Phase begins in just over two weeks, Team France has already impressed in international friendlies, with wins over Turkey and Germany before falling to Germany in their last game.
The team will next play Serbia on Jul. 12, Canada on Jul. 19, and Australia on Jul. 21 before the start of the Olympic Group Phase on Jul. 27.
When the Olympic Group Phase begins, Team France will begin their quest for Olympic gold on day one, playing Brazil on Jul. 27. They will then return to action on Jul. 30, when they compete against Japan. Their final game of the Group Phase will be against Team Germany on Aug. 2.
From there, the top teams will advance to the knockout rounds, with action tipping off on Aug. 6 for the quarterfinals. After the women's quarterfinal games on Aug. 7, men's semifinal action will pick up on Aug. 8, with the bronze and gold medal games taking place on Aug. 10.
