Team Spain is set to travel to France for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. The European team remains a strong opponent for the rest of the team, although they aren't as dangerous as they were a couple of years ago.
After winning the 2019 FIBA World Cup and 2022 EuroBasket, Spain has had a difficult time trying to return to the top of international basketball. They have put together a team that can compete against three notable opponents in the group phase of the Olympics, although they aren't as strong as before.
Team Spain will compete against Greece, Canada, and Australia in Group A, which has been labeled as the 'Group of Death' of the tournament.
They needed to get through one of the Olympic Qualifiers to get the ticket to Paris with a team full of veterans. They will only have one NBA player on the roster and the rest of the squad will feature players with a lot of experience in European basketball.
