Team USA Men's Basketball 2024 Paris Olympics: Schedule, full roster and more

Heading into the 2024 Olympics, Team USA looks primed to win a gold medal in men's basketball. With still a few weeks to go before the games begin, here is a snapshot of their schedule and collection of talent.

For the first time arguably since the "Redeem Team" in 2008, the United States has put together a team of the NBA's top stars. There are stars of old like LeBron James and Steph Curry, along with big names of the next generation like Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum.

Currently, Team USA is going through training camp in Las Vegas. Their Olympic schedule doesn't begin until July 28th, but they will have a chance to compete before then.

Starting on July 10th, the U.S. men's team will play a handful of showcase games before traveling to Paris for the Olympics. Some of their opponents in these warm-up games include Canada, Serbia and Germany.

Armed with a plethora of superstars, the United States is looking to bounce back after not winning a medal in the World Cup last summer.

Team USA's 2024 Olympics schedule:

Team USA will take the floor in the 2024 Olympics for the first time on July 28th. They are slated to take on Serbia, with tip-off scheduled for 11:15 am Eastern Time.

Serbia will be a good test for the United States to kick off the games, as they have a handful of NBA players on their roster. They are led by reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, with other key names including Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Jovic.

Following their matchup with Serbia, the U.S. will take on South Sudan on July 31st. That will be an afternoon matchup with a 3:00 pm tip-off time.

South Sudan also has some NBA talent on its roster, but not to the degree of Serbia. The most notable name on their roster is Phoenix Suns forward Bol Bol.

The United States will wrap up the group phase round on August 3rd with a matchup against Puerto Rico. One of their top performers heading into the Olympics is New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado.
