Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, had a brilliant game in the Nike EYBL on Monday, dropping 40 points, and he earned praise from the son of another American icon. O'Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube, is patiently waiting for Anthony to get to the league so he can use him in NBA 2k.

He's averaged 23.3 points through three games at the tournament.

His 3s came in every way Monday — pulling up in his defender's face, spotting up off a pass, and even breaking down his man for a smooth step back. His confidence and eventual shot-making continue to draw comparisons to his father and caught Jackson Jr.'s attention.

Anthony has one year left at Long Island Lutheran School in Brookville, NY. He's ranked 41st on the ESPN 100 for the Class of 2025, good for a four-star rating and the No. 1 recruit in New York. He already has offers from George Mason, Manhattan, Memphis, Bryant, Dayton and Syracuse, his dad's alma mater.

O'Shea Jackson Jr. has appeared in seven films, breaking out in the role of his father in the 2015 movie "Straight Outta Compton." He last starred in Cocaine Bear in 2023.

Kiyan Anthony receives intriguing offer from Rutgers

On Tuesday, Kiyan Anthony shared the news that he has received an offer from Rutgers.

The Scarlet Knights have landed two of the top four players from the Class of 24' ESPN 100, Airious Bailey and Dylan Harper. Bailey, a 6-foot-8 forward, and Harper, a 6-foot-5 point guard, will begin their freshman seasons this fall.

Depending on how the season unravels for Rutgers and whether or not the two freshmen head to the NBA after one year, Anthony could find himself alongside the two young stars when he gets to school.

No other school that has made him an offer has the talent Rutgers will bring to New Jersey this fall. They're also one of the closest schools to New York, where he's spent most of his life.
