Nikola Jokic is one of the best offensive players in the NBA. He also has one of the most versatile skill sets on that end of the floor of any player in league history. The three-time MVP is arguably the NBA's top passer, with a smooth jump shot and dominant post-game to boot.

To all the credit and respect Jokic commands on the offensive side of the floor, he isn't the league's strongest defender by any means. This reigned true a decade ago, when Nikola Jokic faced off against New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns at the 2014 Nike Hoop Summit.

On Tuesday afternoon, a video resurfaced online of Towns posterizing the Denver Nuggets superstar during the camp, going viral on Instagram.

"The beginning of Joker's villain arc," a fan commented.
"Jokic led that camp in scoring by the way," another fan pointed out.
"Jokic was still composed though," a third fan added.

Fans also praised the Nuggets star for the hardware on his trophy mantle over Towns:

"Who got a ring now," one fan questioned.
"Who has the Championship/League MVP though," another fan asked.
"How the tables have turned," a third fan added.

Nikola Jokic shines versus Magic

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets took on the Orlando Magic at Kia Center on Sunday night. The Nuggets were riding high entering the matchup as winners in nine of their last 12 games.

Jokic helped Denver keep the momentum rolling with a heroic triple-double performance versus Orlando. He scored 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists on the way to a 113-100 win over the Magic.

Furthermore, all five of Denver's starters scored in double figures, with Christian Braun emerging with a double-double performance of his own alongside Jokic. Braun scored 20 points while shooting 6-of-10 from the field. He also recorded 11 rebounds, including a game-high five offensive rebounds, and two assists.

Jamal Murray, Russell Westbrook and Michael Porter Jr. rounded out the scoring effort, combining for 46 points between the trio.
