Intuit Dome visited by LA Clippers & owner Steve Balmer

The LA Clippers won't be sharing home arenas with the Lakers anymore soon as construction for the Intuit Dome is in progress. The new home for the Clippers will be located in Inglewood, California.

Steve Balmer, the team owner of the Clippers, shared an update on what to expect from the future of the organization. According to Balmer, the Intuit Dome will feature 1,160 toilets and urinals to prioritize the attention of fans to the game.

"Toilets! 1,160 toilets and urinals! Three times the NBA average! … We do not want people waiting around. We want them back to their d*** seats."

The Clippers are spending $2 billion on the construction of their new arena. It's expected to be ready in 2024.

The features of the Intuit Dome

It won't be long until the Clippers move out of the Crypto.com arena and have their own home where they can play comfortably. Once the construction for their new arena gets finalized, they'll finally be able to step away from the shadow of their Los Angeles rivals, the Lakers.

Balmer is planning on adding incredible features to the arena. As mentioned above, there will be more than 1,000 toilets and unrinals, which he mentioned was three times the NBA average.

During the 2019 offseason, the Clippers revealed the facilities and amenities that will be featured in their arena. AECOM will design the seats, which will accommodate up to 18,000 people. Additionally, the arena will include a practice facility, sports medical clinic, team offices, retail space and a large outdoor plaza with basketball courts, which can be accessed by the public.

During last year's offseason, Balmer shared his excitement with ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk about the new arena.

"We're nobody's little brother, we're a real team. At the end of the day, we still gotta win games, we gotta win championships. If we can give that to Clipper Nation, and fulfill my responsibility as a steward, then I'll feel good." Balmer said.
