"The itch is back": Gilbert Arenas' fiancé Melli Monaco surprises fans as she teases dramatic hair transformation

Gilbert Arenas' fiancé, Melli Monaco, made a surprising announcement on social media. The famous YouTuber partner of the former NBA player announced that she had decided to go bald because of the difficulties she was facing.

Monaco posted a picture of herself in front of her mirror, holding the trimmer. She had already shaved a large area of her head and revealed that she was dealing with itching, which forced her to shave her head.

Monaco also said that after shaving her head, she would rock tattoos on it.

"The itch is back I want to shave it and have head tattoos 🫣," Monaco wrote in the caption.

The social media star also asked her followers if she should go completely bald.

Melli Monaco also uses her YouTube channel to spread awareness about hair loss, both among men and women. On multiple occasions on her YouTube channel, she has held talks concerning people's struggles with receding hairlines.

Previously, Arenas was engaged to Laura Govan, who he shares his four children with. However, their relationship made headlines in the media after the ex-NBA player gave her a fake engagement ring after their first breakup in 2011. They dated from 2002 to 2014.

Gilbert Arenas' fiancé Melli Monaco celebrated her 34th birthday on Jan. 5 earlier this month. Since Arenas and Monaco started dating in 2023, this was the second time that Monaco was celebrating her birthday with the former Golden State Warriors star and the first time as a fiancé.

Arenas made sure to put his best effort for the occasion. He surprised Monaco with hundreds of roses arranged in glass vases. The picture also showed a gray colored gift box and silver color balloons among flowers that read "Happy Bday."

She posted another picture in her other IG story that showed flowers in the glass vases placed on the kitchen slab. A few silver color balloons were also tied to the edge of the kitchen slab.

Gilbert Arenas and Melli Monaco have been dating since 2023, when Arenas appeared on her channel when she was live streaming and asked her out on a date.

Monaco was born in Paris, France, which is where the former NBA player proposed to her, in front of the Eiffel Tower in August of 2024. A few months later, Monaco also gifted the former Golden State Warriors star an engagement ring.
