With a Heat vs Nuggets NBA Finals match-up looking more likely, it remains to be seen if the two teams can close out the series in their next game.
Lakers and Celtics on verge of being swept
The LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics are down 3-0 in their respective series. It's unlikely either team will turn around the series, considering no team in the playoffs has recovered from a 3-0 deficit. Instead, the risk of being swept is very real for two of the most storied franchises.
In the WCF series, the Purple and Gold had their chances to win Games 2 and Game 3. However, Denver's superior execution and Jamal Murray's individual brilliance saw them through to wins.
Meanwhile in the ECF series, the C's had their chances to win Game 2. However, a Jimmy Butler masterclass in the final minutes of the fourth quarter tore Boston's hopes apart. In Game 3, Boston faced their worst loss in playoff history.
With both Miami and Denver firing on all cylinders, the future looks bleak for two of the most dominant franchises in league history.
