Being tall is an advantage in basketball. However, although Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young wasn't born with the gift of height, he has still excelled because of his talent. In a clip posted from an interview with "Million Dollaz Worth of Game," which dropped on Sunday, Young shared how he feels about tall, untalented players.

Despite his lack of height, the 6-foot-1 Young has demonstrated why he's one of the top players. His ability to shoot from long distance, akin to the 6-2 Steph Curry, is what made him a star. Additionally, he's an intelligent passer, often finding the open man with his passes.

Even with that, he's made the most of it since getting drafted in 2018.

"I used to hate when I used to see guys that's tall and that's all," Young said. "They just out there tall, and that’s all. ... If I was 6-8, I feel like I would be the best player ever to play this game. Just because of my mentality and the way I play and just the smartness I have.

Young may be short, but that hasn't kept him from impacting the game and leading the Hawks. He's a three-time All-Star and has been a consistent 20-point scorer since his sophomore season. Being short has also helped him to rely on his outside shooting, keeping him away from the paint and physicality that it demands.

Trae Young includes himself as part of his top five best shooters list

Elite shooting has been a great source of scoring in the NBA. Most players who don't rely on athleticism have used shooting as a weapon because of Stephen Curry's influence. One of the players who has relied on shooting from long range is Trae Young, a career 35.5% shooter from the 3-point line.

During his appearance at the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" show, Young was asked to give his top five list of current shooters in the league. The Hawks star didn't hesitate to include himself as he enumerated the players on his list.

"Steph, Dame (Lillard), myself. I feel like Klay (Thompson), Klay's still a top shooter. My teammate, Bogi Bogdanovic," Young said (Timestamp: 15:47).

Young shared an elite list of shooters currently playing in the NBA. Curry, the NBA's 3-point king, is tagged as the "Greatest Shooter of All Time." Conversely, Damian Lillard has made many memorable shots from beyond the arc. Klay Thompson also shares a healthy history of shooting the basketball from long range.
