Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce discussed in their podcast how the LA Clippers (25-19) might actually have a chance in the 2025 NBA Playoffs. LA is currently in the playoff picture, placing sixth in the Western Conference. With Kawhi Leonard now back in their lineup, their chances of securing a playoff spot have been boosted.
Pierce pointed out how he initially thought that the Clippers didn't have a chance this season. This was due to Paul George leaving for the Philadelphia 76ers and Kawhi Leonard being hurt for the first three months of the season. With two of their stars missing, holding down the fort were James Harden and Norman Powell. However, Pierce also didn't believe that Harden and Powell could carry the team.
Garnett, on the other hand, thought otherwise and commended Harden and Powell for taking care of business while Leonard was out. KG then pointed out that Norman always had the potential to be a star back with the Toronto Raptors but never had the opportunity to shine. Lo and behold, LA's tandem of Harden and Powell helped the team remain one of the top six teams in their conference all season.
"All them Clipper teams have always had a presence," Garnett said. "They always been scrappy, they always had that fight."

Coach Tyronn Lue isn't happy about Clippers' win over Wizards
The LA Clippers took on the Washington Wizards on Thursday night. LA put an effort into securing a dominant 110-93 win as seven players on their team were in double figures. James Harden was the star of the show as he put up a triple-double performance. Harden added 17 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds.
While the Clippers remain in the playoff picture after beating the Wizards, head coach Tyronn Lue wasn't happy with the way his team performed. Despite securing the win, Lue felt like his team didn't put up an efficient performance.
“Not a good game for us. Just a win,” Lue said. “We didn’t play particularly well. We didn’t execute with the basketball. We did some good things as well, but it wasn’t one of our best games. Like last night, I thought we played better. But it is a win. We’ll take it, but we got to start stacking wins. But we got to start executing the right way and I don’t think we did a good job of that tonight.”
LA is set to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. It'll be a tough matchup for them considering how the Bucks have all the momentum on their side. Milwaukee is currently on a five-game winning streak. Winning Saturday's game will be crucial if the Clippers wish to overtake the LA Lakers in fifth place in the Western Conference.
