The 2024 NBA Draft hasn’t started yet but Jared McCain is already in the spotlight on social media. He hyped up the event and his entry into pro basketball with a few TikTok moves. The former Duke star grooved to the music alone and also did it with fellow prospects.

Mock drafts see McCain landing between No. 10 and No. 20. Scouts have raved about his ability to shoot regardless of range. Observers emphasized his shot creation and defense as two of his biggest strengths.

Fans will get to see him play NBA basketball soon enough but for now, he is showing off his dance moves.

Jared McCain doesn’t just relish busting out dance moves on TikTok. He seems to also like rap and maybe a fan of at least one Drake song. Hours before going to Barclays Center for the draft, he shared a few lines from the controversial rapper's single ‘Draft Day:’

“Draft day, Johnny Manziel

“Five years later, how am I the man still?

“Draft day, A. Wiggins

“F**k that other side, bi**h we stay winnin'”

Fans will be curious about McCain’s choice of song, particularly the lines he mentioned. Johnny Manziel, a former No. 1 pick in the NFL, lasted just two seasons. He is considered to be one of pro football’s biggest duds.

Andrew Wiggins was the NBA’s top pick in 2014 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also didn’t turn out to be the franchise cornerstone some thought he would become. Jared McCain, though, will be happy to have the career trajectory of the Golden State Warriors forward.
