"Tired of these growth spurts": Carmelo Anthony's ex Mia Burks makes feelings known on daughter Genesis Harlo with joking remarks

Mia Burks, the ex-partner of NBA star Carmelo Anthony, shared another adorable picture of their daughter, Genesis Harlo, this week. Burks regularly posts snaps of Genesis on her Instagram account, which now boasts over 80,000 followers. Fans have seen Gensis grow up, and she seems to be hitting that rapid growth phase.

On Saturday, Burks posted another image of Genesis Harlo, now seven years old, enjoying a drink and a snack. The proud mother added a hilarious caption to the pic:

"Tired of these growth spurts 😩😭, " wrote Burks.

There were plenty of questions surrounding Carmelo Anthony's relationship with Mia Burks after Genesis was born on Aug. 1, 2017. The former New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets forward never publicly claimed Genesis. However, the two were spotted having lunch together in 2022, and when Anthony included her in his retirement video, it effectively confirmed the rumors.

Genesis was born during the time Anthony was in a relationship with his ex wife La La Anthony. Carmelo and La La got married in 2010 but filed for divorce in 2021, with La La citing irreconcilable differences. They have a son together, Kiyan, who is currently one of the the top ranked high school basketball players in the nation.

Picking a theme for a seven-year-old's birthday party can be difficult. Carmelo Anthony and Mia Burks' daughter, Genesis, chose to go with a New York Knicks theme to honor her father.

Genesis Harlo was seen donning a classic blue No. 7 Knicks jersey at her birthday party in August. It was the ultimate tribute.

Anthony spent seven seasons in the Big Apple and left Knicks fans with plenty of amazing memories along the way. The 10-time All-Star played 412 games for the organization. Anthony retired from the NBA in 2022 after an illustrious 19-year career.
