LeBron James made history on Thursday night as he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most NBA All-Star appearances, with his 20th nomination.
As the All-Star starters for both conferences were revealed, we took a look at the players with the most selections.
The 72nd NBA All-Star 2023 will take place in Utah this season for the first time since the 1992-93 season. Earlier Thursday, the starters for both conferences as well as the two captains were announced by the "Inside the NBA" crew.
The Eastern Conference starters are Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is the captain. Following the Greek Freak were guards Damian Lillard and Tyrese Haliburton, with forward Jayson Tatum and center Joel Embiid.

LeBron James is the top vote-getter for the Western Conference, making him the captain. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic are the starters in the backcourt, while Nikola Jokic and Kevin Durant are in the starting five.

As the starters were revealed, LeBron James made history as he became an All-Star for the 20th straight season. James is averaging 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game.
#2, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 19
The league's current leader in scoring, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, finished his career with 19 All-Star selections. Kareem played 21 seasons, completely leaving a mark on the association. Not only is he known for his skyhook, he also has a reputation for being one of the best superstars.
#3, Kobe Bryant, 18
Kobe Bryant finished his legendary career with 18 All-Star selections for the LA Lakers. Even while injured, fans still voted him an All-Star. His last appearance was in the 2015-16 season, when he averaged 17.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 3.7 apg. The Black Mamba's inspiring career has definitely impacted the fans.

Tim Duncan is an icon in sports history, finishing his career with 15 All-Star selections. Duncan is a five-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs, consistently playing as a winner. His game may be boring for some fans, but his accomplishments speak for himself.

Kevin Garnett is Duncan's counterpart and just like The Big Fundamental, The Big Ticket had 15 All-Star selections. Garnett played for 21 seasons and is a champion with the Boston Celtics in 2008. His high level of intensity on the defensive end became his calling card throughout his career.
