NBA superstar Steph Curry's popular celebration was emulated by Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley during the NFC championship game on Sunday. Curry's longtime teammate, Draymond Green, reacted to the NFL star's celebration.
As Barkley got to the end zone for his third touchdown on Sunday, he performed a celebration very familiar to NBA fans. He hit their division rivals, the Washington Commanders, with a 'night-night' celebration.
Curry popularized the 'night-night' motion in the NBA. The two-time MVP usually uses the gesture near the end of games to indicate that the win is sealed for his team.
Golden State Warriors forward Green posted his reaction on X (formerly Twitter).

"Saquon with the Night Night! Tough," Green wrote.
Barkley and the Eagles defeated the Commanders 55-23 in the NFC championship game. They advanced to the Super Bowl and will face the winner between the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills. Philadelphia will play for the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in three years.
Curry and Green have been teammates since the 6-foot-6 forward entered the league in 2012. The duo was part of the Golden State dynasty, which won four NBA championships in eight seasons between 2015 and 2022. Curry, the NBA all-time leader in 3-pointers made, was the finals MVP during their most recent title run in 2022.
Steph Curry's All-Star selection marks history with Golden State
Steph Curry has been named an All-Star starter for the Western Conference this season. This marks the 11th selection and the 10th All-Star start for the Golden State Warriors star. The 2025 NBA All-Star game will be held at the Warriors home arena, the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Curry surpassed NBA great Paul Arizin for the most All-Star nods in franchise history. Arizin had 10 selections.
The four-time NBA champion also surpassed LA Lakers star LeBron James to become the active player with the most All-Star selections with one franchise. James had 10 All-Star appearances in two stints for his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry will turn 37 in March. This season, he is averaging 22.3 points on 17.0 shots per game, which, per NBA insider Kevin O'Connor, is the lowest output since the Warriors' pre-playoff years.
Curry's 93.3% free-throw shooting this season is among the highest in the league and second-best of his career (93.4% in 2010-11), per Basketball Reference. He has led the league in free-throw percentage four times and holds the NBA record for the all-time highest career free-throw percentage (91.1).
The Warriors (22-23) are a game out of the final play-in spot in the Western Conference, and pressure is mounting for the team to make the most out of their aging superstar's remaining years.
